Estee Lauder x Mad Men

If Mad Menmania hasn’t hit your shores yet (it’s arriving, slowly but surely in France), you should know that the series has resurrected the early 60s aesthetic completely around  the world – Dior’s New Look has never inspired more designers, men sport Clubmaster and Wayfarer glasses and tailored suits, and everyone – EVERYONE ! – is back into lipstick, in a big way.

It’s only appropriate then, that Estee Lauder, the favorite makeup brand of many of our grandmothers (who may have Betty Drapers themselves) has launched a Mad Men capsule collection, completely in retro-chic, gilded packaging (the boxes are based on Estee Lauder packaging from the period). There is a lustrous satin finish lipstick ($25) and a rosy creme blush ($40), both available at Bloomingdale’s and Estee Lauder.
