I have a friend (who will remain unnamed until he agrees to be interviewed for this blog) who is a famous hair stylist, having worked for Vogue US and Paris.
When I asked him for tips about hair, he said… “longer, always longer!”.
But when I told him that my hair just doesn’t seem to grow past its current point, I asked if I should be trimming my hair more. He told me that the trim every 6 weeks is a myth – it won’t help hair to grow (logical), it’s just to keep split ends at bay and make longer hair less breakable. As I’ve found, with the rights products, I can avoid split ends no matter how often I cut my hair, so how to make hair grow?
He responded that the hair follicles need good circulation – and the key was to invigorate my scalp by massaging it with fingertips for 2 minutes every day.
I do this now while I’m shampooing my hair, making sure to use my fingertips to press into my scalp and get the blood flowing. Does it work? I’m not entirely sure – but for 2 minutes a day, it can’t hurt to try.
Interesting!! Doesnt hurt to try!
I love anything that’s free that will make me look better
Thanks for reading my blog!
